Dear E.J. Families!
Here are updates from the health office:
• 6th GRADERS: required vaccines for middle school are Tdap and Meningitis. Please make sure your child is up to date on vaccines so he/she can attend the first day of school in August.
• MEASLES: the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine is required for all students. This vaccine is usually administered during infancy and by the time students are in elementary school, 2 doses are required. New Mexico remains free of any measles outbreaks but please do your part by ensuring your student has the MMR vaccine.
• SUNSCREEN!: protect your children from harmful sun rays by applying sunscreen in the morning before school!
MEDICAL FORMS: forms went out last week to student who have medications kept @ school in the health office. Please return forms ASAP.
Thank you for keeping our students happy and healthy! Nurse Laarni
Parking Lot Procedures: Please read and familiarize yourself with the following procedures for use of the parking lot during drop-off and pick-up. These procedures have always been in place but we wanted to make sure our families were aware of them so everyone can help make this time safer.
Enter the parking lot on the right side.
PULL FORWARD- DO NOT STOP IN THE CROSSWALK.
Pull as far forward as you can into the drop-off/pick-up lane by the green curb.
DO NOT PARK your car and GET OUT OF IT while in the loading and unloading zone.
At NO time should you park along the fence across from the green curb (drop-off/pick-up lane).
The area that says NO PARKING is for circling around the parking lot ONLY. Parking here stops the flow of traffic and is not allowed.
Snacks and Lunches Healthy snacks and lunches help your children get through the day much easier. It also teaches them to make healthy food choices in the future. Please help them by sending nutritious snacks and lunches with such things as fruits or vegetables. *For snacks and lunch, please limit the amount of sugary food. Not allowed at school: candy, coffee, soda
Thank you for helping make your child’s day more successful!
